Online support

Our evening online support sessions offer a safe space to connect with other parent carers. READ MORE >>

Our evening support group is an online Zoom event where you can connect with other parent carers and share a chat over a cuppa, from the comfort of your own home. These sessions are hosted by our knowledgeable and experienced SGPC team who are parent carers too.

We have all had those moments when we feel we have barely survived the demands of the week, or we are burning to celebrate a moment in our child’s progress that others just wouldn’t understand – you’re not alone.

Our sessions are a safe space to ask questions, unload, laugh, cry, and chat, in a place where you know your life experiences are understood, and where tips and strategies can be shared.

• Alternate Thursday evenings

• Online via Zoom

• Join our mailing list to find out the dates of upcoming sessions and gain access information to the Zoom event

Workshops for the Autism assessment waiting list

Is your child awaiting an Autism Assessment in Bristol, North Somerset or South Gloucestershire?

We know that families are waiting a long time before they are offered an appointment. So we are delighted to be able to offer our workshops to those families so they can get some help whilst they are waiting.

For the first time Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire (BNSSG) Parent Carer forums have teamed together and are delivering specific workshops to provide information, support and practical guidance.

A combination of professional expertise, knowledge and the lived experience of parenting a SEND child is at the basis of each workshop.

We will be running workshops both online and in-person. Our face-to-face workshops will focus on introductions to four themes, Anxiety, Behaviour, Sensory Differences and Communication.

Our online sessions will cover a variety of themes based on feedback we receive from families.
