Here we will show you the meetings .work streams and Boards that we are involved with, where we feed back what families tell us and ensure our views are heard.
We are in the process of updating this section of our website as we are planning with the Local Authority and Health Commissioners/Providers what we will be focusing on for the next 12 months April 2017-March 2018.
South Glos Council have commissioned a new platform provider for the Local Offer, that is to say, they are changing the online look and feel and functionality of the Local Offer to make improvements.
We are seeking your views about the current short breaks in South Gloucestershire and what the future might look like.
We have two parent reps who sit on the working group that looks at short breaks for children and young people as well as Parent Carers.
We are involved on a weekly basis in discussions regarding the Education Health and Care Plan process. Lots of big discussions and debates but all of us trying to make the EHCP process clearer to everyone in South Glos.
This groups brings together those in leadership roles for Autism in various children’s services within South Gloucestershire - to work on what is offered to children and their families, and to ensure collaboration with others as part of developing a clear approach on managing the needs of CYP with Autism across South Gloucestershire.
Our Post 16 Team are feeding into the Transitions Pathways meetings so we can help our sons and daughters prepare for adulthood.

We are looking forward to having a more official way to feed back our
communities’ views and the chance to participate in work streams to problem
solve and co-produce new and better systems that work for us all.
We hear from families about how difficult it is to access mental health services and support.
So we jumped at the chance to be involved with the mental health strategy.
