South Glos Parents & Carers heard how hard it has been for our community to speak to the 0- 25 service when needed. We asked to work towards a solution that will improve communication for our community.
You have fed back to us through our surveys that contacting the 0-25 team has been extremely difficult. We can proudly say that thanks to the hard work of our parent reps attending meetings, distributing our reports and asking for the improvements that our community need and want to see, the 0-25 service now has a duty line number to call to speak to a 0-25 team member.
0-25 Tel: 01454 865137
We want to hear from those who have used this duty line about your experiences, what is working well and what are the problems that need to be addressed through our participation work. You can add your thoughts via our feedback form here.
What is the SEND 0-25 service?
The 0-25 Service Education Team has a statutory role within the Local Authority.
Its purpose is to coordinate statutory processes under The Children & Families Act 2014 and The Special Educational Needs and Disability Code of Practice 2015, and other associated legislative frameworks. This includes making decisions on EHC needs assessments, issuing EHC plans and ensuring annual reviews take place so that monitoring and planning focus on the child or young person’s needs and progress. You can find more information about this service here.
