Supporting Parents of Children with Additional Needs & Disabilities
Connecting Families & Bringing Them Together
OUR COMMUNITY BASE
A beautiful child friendly space to relax, take in a workshop, crafting session or just some time for yourself. There is also a sensory room with hoist.
PARENT SEND WORKSHOPS
Created by educational psychologists and parent carer reps with input from other professionals, our workshops cover many key topics.
REALLY USEFUL GUIDES
Written by parent carers to be the ‘Really Useful Guide’ to all that our community needs to know and a specific ‘Preparing for Adulthood Guide’.
Parenting a child with additional needs brings joys and challenges. Sometimes we need an impartial sympathetic and non-judgemental ear. That is why we offer low-cost counselling.
CLOSED FACEBOOK GROUP
Sometimes it is not easy to physically get somewhere for support. Our closed Facebook group, linked through our main Facebook page is a virtual support group 24/7 where information and advice is offered and exchanged by others on the same journey.
It is a fun and accessible setting with exciting, sensory stimulating activities expertly planned by our very experienced early-years co-ordinator, Gill and our team of Little Treasures volunteers.
MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD
Alongside emotional support and information we offer, we work co-productively with services such as health, education and social care to improve services for us all. You can contribute your voice too in quick and easy ways. Together we are stronger!
COFFEE AND SUPPORT
Our wonderful volunteers welcome you to our popular coffee and support group based in Mangotsfield. A relaxing space to get support with occasional informative guest speakers or Q&A sessions.
Events and Conferences
From time to time we host events and conferences. From informative events with interesting guest speakers to wellbeing days with free pamper and therapy sessions, we try to offer our community time for themselves and information to empower.
