South Glos Council running a Training and Employment Event for Young People

What is it?

Are you leaving school soon?

Or are you the parent or carer of someone who is in their last few months of education?

Are you wondering what is out there for you or for your son or daughter?

We know that moving on to college or higher education from school is not right for everyone. We are holding an event to help you make the choice that is right for you and to give you information about accessing the support you need.

The event will highlight the range of services and support that are available to young people to help them take up training or employment opportunities when they leave school. Organisations who provide services and support will be at the event to talk about what they provide and how they have helped young people, of all needs and abilities, to move into training or employment and to live more independently.

The event is taking place on Monday 6 June from 5.30pm – 7.30pm at Cleeve Rugby Club in Mangotsfield, BS16 9EN. Young people and their parents or carers are all welcome to come along to find out about the alternatives to further full time education.
